Existing Drupal website upgrades
Drupal is always moving forward and has different versions, currently we develop websites with Drupal 7. At some stage in the not too distant future Drupal 7 websites will need a "Major" upgrade to Drupal 8.
You can think of this like upgrading Microsoft Windows from 7 up to 8. This definitely presents problems during the upgrade process and almost always requires an experienced Drupal developer to successfully upgrade whilst retaining all your data.
Depending on the complexity of your website and the modules that are installed this can take upwards of three days.
Drupal website updates service
Post installation on your own server or ours, we can also perform any Drupal core, theme and module update's. One of the great advantages of using Drupal, is the vast community of web developers who contribute to the code.
In this way the software that runs your site can and should always be updated, as the community moves it forward. It kind of works like regular updates on your operating system ie Windows, Java, Flash...
Performing these Drupal module and theme updates can be quite a technically daunting task, as such this is an on going service that we offer. This leaves you to focus on the all important task of creating new content and attracting new clients.
